When Haygood UMC learned that their neighborhood Farm Fresh was closing and that its employees would be losing their jobs, the congregation sought a way to say thank you to those who have cared for them for so long.
The congregation created "Thank You Bags" for all 90 employees at the Haygood Farm Fresh and took them the day before the store officially closed and presented them to the manager who gave them out to all the Farm Fresh employees on April 16th. Those in the picture below are the manager Adrian White, Church member and employee Bryant Richardson, Church staff and volunteers, Margaret Meyett, Lori Michalochick and Ann Sutliff. Lay Leader Bill Slingerland took the picture. Haygood continues to pray for our Farm Fresh friends as they seek new employment.
